I'm not even really a DBZ fan but if it gets a wide release, I'll have to check it out. This is great news for Funimation, they will make a lot of money of this I'm sure!

Lucky Americans.... : (
Still though, so awesome to hear! I hope they will be using the extended version that was shown on TV. That + good dub + Simmons subtitles and it will be a perfect release.

I think this given how much the DB franchise is already to Funi (I'd say it's their signature title), this might be their biggest release this year besides AoT.

Wow, 350 screens sounds like a lot for anime, but it is Dragon Ball... The first five Pokémon movies got nationwide releases, right?

^ The first three got very wide releases, and four, five, and eleven got limited releases. Pokemon: The First Movie opened at #1 and grossed $85 million in North America alone, by far more than any other anime movie.
This is great news, and I REALLY hope it plays at a theater near me! Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie is still the only anime movie I've ever seen in theaters, and boy did it suck. I always wanted to see DBZ in theaters as a kid, and hopefully I'll finally get the chance to. I'm just glad Eleven Arts isn't involved like they are with so many other theatrical anime releases (Evangelion, Madoka Magica, Akira, Blue Exorcist...). They always screen at the same three theaters in Virginia... and they're all in northern Virginia (it may as well be DC).
In case no one noticed, 20th Century Fox's logo is at the end of the trailer, so they're still involved in some way.

Would it be too much to ask of them to reanimate the horrid fully CG shots in this film? They're going to look pretty embarrassing in a movie theater.

Considering FUNimation has no animators to speak of, yes?

I think its great to be finally getting a dub for this. I have seen it subbed several times but in my opinion its nice to be able to watch DB in English. I know people have different opinion on this but I really enjoy the English dub. Hopefully the translation sticks pretty close to the original. Pretty excited for this.

Funimations' wallets must be doing back flips in joy!
I have a feeling this movie will make millions of dollars
I also have to ask, is version Funimation screening the original theatrical cut (85 Minutes) or the extended version (105 Minutes)?
I'm crossing my fingers that it's the extended version...

That's a big release for something like this. Most of their theatrical anime get one-night showings and in barely any cinemas.

Wow, I never thought DBZ: Battle of Gods would get this big theatrical release, that's really smart of Funimation.
