Wow, it's been ages since I've seen K-On!

Interesting to see this get picked up though.

I might get this when they release the bluray. I held out on Bandai's release because singles are icky.

This is good for multiple reasons.
For one, I don't have to pay for the overpriced 4 part Bandai release.
And two, because it's by Sentai, I can import it without worrying about region locks.
I'm so glad i didn't buy the UK DVD release now. Anime smile

Cool. I actually bought the Bandai Entertainment DVD complete collection, but I might double deep for the Sentai BD's. I hope this pick up means that Sentai will eventually release other Kyoto Animation/Bandai Entertainment titles like Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star.

I wonder if the recent BD Box release of K-On! [ENG SUB] in Japan has anything to do with this...

Anyways, this is a good one for fans of the show who've been wanting a physical release without having to pay OOP prices.

Edit: I guess this is why it's DVD-only...

Despite never having seen the show & having very faint interest in it I was tempted to get the BD box set just because it looks absolutely fabulous.

I'm happy with my Bandai DVDs so I won't be double dipping, but it's good to know that Sentai finally picked up the first season. I figured it was just a matter of time seeing as they already have everything else related to the series.

....Well, *ALMOST* everything.

(hopes against hope that we'll one day get the Ura-On OVAs over here in the States)

Great news! I'm happy with my Bandai Blu-Rays though, so I'll be holding on to those. Hopefully this leads to other KyoAni titles Bandai had being rescued (like the unreleased Nichijou).

Well, it's about time! Even though Bandai has already released K-On 1 in the US, Sentai released season 2 and the movie, so why not Sentai just re-release K-On season 1, considering how Bandai has stopped distributing anime in the US?
