Disapointing, their first toy is a generic looking white seal plush? Sure, it may be important to the show, but as far as mascots go there's nothing about it that seperates it from any other seal plush out there. Hmmm, I was really hoping for some sort of action figure as their first release. Anime cry

It looks like ADV is about to become the MTV of the anime world. About the toy though, I also wish it was an action figure, preferably an Eva unit 01 that Todd McFarland sculpted. Anyone who's seen his work knows why this would be f***ing awesome.

Yeah, but the seal is bloody adorable. Any girl who sees that seal in stores will squeal over it, buy it, and then watch the show. In that order. An action figure would be awesome, but it would only appeal to people who have already seen that series (at first, anyway). This approach? It would generate interest for the show right off the bat.

Heh. I'm the girl who snatched up a 30 dollar Mokona plushy from girls in Waldenbooks trying to figure out what the heck it was. They'll go for the cute stuff. And fangirls like me who know what it is will pay the crazy overpriced price they're charging for the cheap plushy.

*grumbles about her hopes of them making Sailormoon toys going down the drain with them loosing the rights*

I think the reason they didn't is theres already a ton of differnt Evangelion releated action figures out on the market. Atleast I've seen alot of Software Etc and such.

That's not quite the same thing since Toynami markets the Robotech toys, not ADV.

Yes, it isn't a manufactured ADV toy, but still a nice extra that ADV supports.
