I like how none of the anime are actual BL shows.

Cause, you know, BL shows don't exist.

*sigh*

Well, at least not many. Nitro+ is releasing DRAMAtical Murder sometime in the next year or so, and I know there are a few others. I find it hilarious that Free! rated #1 when it's not even shounen ai as far as I know.

BOYS LOVE AWARDS!

NOTE: Actual boys love series may not be present

@Chagen46
Of course they exist, but its just a lot of women have always preferred stuff aimed at men. they'd rather ship the guys from Gintama or Free or Kuroko rather than the guys from Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi because I guess its too easy or something. Those shows always sell mediocre like 2-5K but then shounen stuff fujoshi love can sell 10-20K+.

Yeah, some of the lower tier series are BL, but the favorites up top aren't. (Free! has an amount of fanservice aimed at particular audiences, but in canon they're never more than than close friends. They just really, really wanna swim together.)

But I don't think it would change if more BL shows were being produced. People seem to gravitate towards the popular series regardless. I guess we'll see when Dramatical Murder hits TV.

I'd understand it if it had BL undertones. But Gintama and Diamond no Ace?

I think this was more of a "Which anime has characters you really like to ship together?"

Not hating on anyone. Everyone has the right to ship anyone however they want :3

Huh, two surprises for me. The first being that Attack of Titan somehow did not come in 1st. The second being how Inazuma Go has been completely dropped by the shouta-lovers in favor of Yowapeda.

You heard it here first, anyone who likes AoT is into BL. Mainstream shounen anime fans are washing out their eye sockets with bleach tonight, "Free! BL? I knew it!!! AoT? BL???? No, no, it can't be!!!" LOL

It is obvious the anime listed here are not BL genre. They voted because of the pair-able male cast that exists in each show matched with the plot the they liked most. Pretty much this is a list of what is popular with fujoshi pairings this year.

Yeah, but let's not forget how flipping awful the Togainu no Chi anime was and how it had practically zero BL elements in it. I'm not holding my breath for DRAMAtical to be any good.

for some reason I started laughing when I saw which series were on the top 3, not like I'm surprised, but still xD

I love those series too so I have nothing to say against it, and I'm also happy to see Hakkenden in there too, I loved the bromance in the anime~~ (I need to buy the manga someday)

and I'm really happy to see Hana wa Saku ka so high in the manga list <3

I am not at all surprised that Free! is on the top of that list. It's very popular with fujoshi, that's for sure.

Also, fujoshi's taste>any other anime fan's taste. Kidding.

I don't know how I feel about my taste in anime being so close to Fujoshi. Those are some of my favorite anime of 2013 up on that list but obviously for entirely different reasons.

It's only on that list because a lot of people find the male characters shippable with each other. It shouldn't make the series any different or less appealing to you. I'm a fujoshi too but I watch these series for numerous reasons, not just the minor BL hints. They're more like just added bonuses.
