As soon as Mekaku City Actors was announced for April, I knew something was up as I really didn't think Shaft had it in them for two shows to run simultaneously. Hopefully Mekaku City Actors won't be as painfully stupid/generic as Nisekoi.

I'm going to assume the series will end on an spoiler[anime only conclusion at around chapter 60-65 going by this pacing with this # set.]

We've been getting a few 10 eps series lately (like Blood Lad). I guess 20 was bound to happen sooner or later.

Judging from the pacing with previous episodes, that means that they'll stop somewhere right after Marika is introduced. Kinda hoping it'll end with the part spoiler[where Raku stays over at Onodera's house due to the weather]

So unless we get another season, we won't get to see spoiler[Chitoge's mom, Paula or Haru].

I expect that this will sell well enough to warrant a 2nd season. I hope it goes through the play arc at least...

I've only seen one before, and that was Ghost Stories.

Stalker is predicting 3k for volume 1 and that has an event ticket...

I don't think so.

I remember it being leaked at 20 episodes back before it began but I didn't really trust it since that seemed like such a weird amount of episodes. I wonder what their reasoning was? Don't they still have to fill up that timeslot for the rest of the 12/13 episodes?

That would be amazing. I don't see it happening, but I wish it would.

Wow 20 episodes you don't see that very often actually never. I was figuring it would be only 12 with Mekakucity Actors coming out. What would be funny though is if they aired Mekakucity Actors after Nisekoi since they air the CM's at the end of Nisekoi.

I predicted this before the anime started, but I'm guessing that this first season will end with spoiler[the Romeo & Juliet play]. Which is actually a pretty good place to end the first season.

20 episode orders are becoming more popular Stateside. Other than the first season of The Legend of Korra, every single order related to Avatar: The Last Airbender and Korra have been for 20-episode seasons. Adventure Time and Regular Show typically get picked up in 20-episode chunks. The TMNT reboot also is in 20-episode seasons.

It was only a matter of time before the Japanese industry took notice. Though in Nisekoi's case it may be because of SHAFT stretching itself too far, as others have mentioned, SHAFT has another show coming out soon.
