Okay, immediate clarification:
a) This is not a 4 player mode. So far, all of that is confirmed for single player only.
b) That battle doesn't have to be a story mode, they are just showing off a Combination Ultimate Jutsu for Team 7

I wasn't expecting a story mode at all to begin with but it's a shame that it's not 4 player. :/

Yeah, in Storm 3 the frame rate would get pretty nasty when you'd start using supports, and that's 1v1.

A 1v1v1v1 free for all online mode? I don't see that happening.
