I can't wait to (not) NOT listen to the dub. It's sure to (not) be all that bad. Wink

Having loved the first 2 movies, and having not seen this one, I'm quite excited for its release!

Can't blame you. Evangelion has never had a good dub or good voice acting. It's bad enough that the Japanese voice actors sucked in this, especially Shinji and Asuka(Yuko Miyamura can't act for shit and is annoying) but to know that a dub could make things worse by making Asuka even more intolerable and 1D and making Shinji into a super bitch. Even for 1997 standards, the dub sucked, because Ghost in the Shell's dub from 1995 was way better and followed the original script way better.

I shouldn't judge a 90 second clip, but man is that voice acting lame sauce. I shouldn't expect much from Spike Spencer though. He is one of the worst dubbing artists in North America, as well as Tiffany Grant.

If you've seen this trailer, congratulations, you've seen the parts of the movie worth seeing.

Let's face it, even if the English dub was perfect, it's still this movie.

I doubt the movie can be that bad. They've been great so far. Besides I'm more interested to see how they end it with the fourth movie.

I personally loved this film. It's the most Evangelion thing they've done since The End of Evangelion. Don't listen to dubs myself, but I'll certainly be picking up the Blu-ray anyway, when it eventually gets a UK release.

The series gets more crazy with a new storyline and characters. I was confused half the time on the first show and the movies seemed a carbon copy off of then like the gurenn Lagann movies but now I'm just like what the heck. Of course Funimation makes the movie look amazing with trailer but they know they have no idea what the heck they're dubbing

typical. the sub elitist come out. especially when it involves the NGE franchise.

sure the casting leaves to be desired , but so far the its a solid dub. dont like the dub then dont watch it.

though what i really hope is that hopefully this movie wont take long to get an AS release like the other two.

Don't get me wrong, most of the dub cast works out fine(Allison Keith and Tiffany Grant are of course Excellent for there roles), the problem is (based on his 2.22 performance) Spike Spencer has little range of emotion for his rendition of Shinji in a movie that hands down lives or dies based on if you enjoy the Shinji performance.
