The centers on Mei Ayazuki, a girl who time-travels to the Meiji era, where she meets and falls in love with various great historical figures from that time period.

That sounds incredibly stupid and boring.
Is that seriously the only reason she travels back in time?

I don't see how it's more stupid and boring than any other show where a girl goes around falling in love with random bishounen. It's just a different hook.

I never said it was more stupid than other series.

The way you phrased it made it sound like you were unaware of shows where characters do nothing but go around falling in love with beautiful people.

It doesn't say that she travels back in time specifically to fall in love with various guys, only that it happens while she's there. She could initially go back for a variety of other reasons. (Either deliberately, or via some mystical accident)

Then why not mention those reasons?

Because it's a quickie article just announcing that an anime of an otome game is being made, and not a review of the plot (or lack of)?

Apparently, the girl is zapped back in time during a festival, after a magician asks her to volunteer on stage for his act and he makes her disappear. Once back in time, she meets various people and the obligatory harem forms. It's a dating sim/visual novel type of game -- the romance is usually the point of such things. I like otome game anime, but I do wish that just once, the girl would actually pick one of the guys. They always seem to end so vaguely, so as not to upset fans of any one route in the game, I guess.

Because they don't matter. Noone's going to be watching this show for its hard-sf exploration of the consequences of time travel.

REALLY, really, Jet? Look at your K-ON! Icon and remember the pain when everybody calls everything you love moeshit and judges you, your person, and your existence, because not everyone shares your taste. Get real man. Introspect. Look at your bodypillow and think if this really helps at all.

I'm not saying K-ON! is no good, but you and me ain't in a place for judging others tastes. Except for Walkure Romance, cause that b**ch stole Utena's uniform and that aint nice. That's crossing the line.

Plus this ain't the only time travel anime, its not like they have an obligation.

I feel no pain when people say that, because moeshit is a made-up word that's used for trolling
