Wow, can't wait for this one. Watanabe + Samurai Action = Awesome (Hopefully). Expectations are going to be high! But if we've learned anything from Cowboy Bebop, he can deliver.

I translated with page with Babelfish (lol) and I found out it is indeed going to air in the spring. :D I also noticed the word 'HIPHOP' is on the page.. at least it won't have a rap bgm?

I think he did the Detective Story Animatrix short - the one where the spoiler[detective meets Trinity]. In addition to being included on the Animatrix disc, it was also on the extra disc that came the The Enter the Matrix video game. I thought that was one of the best of the collection. I don't know how to describe it, but I really liked the style.

the style is Noir/CyberPunk. he also did kids story which was one of the better ones also. |

 There is an exclusive in-depth interview with Shinichirou Watanabe in the Anime Play Bi-Monthly Interactive Mag. (Sept03) wherein he talks about Bebob, Animatrix, and Samurai Champloo. He calls his latest project a "Hip-Hop Historical Samurai Drama..."

I read in one of the recent newtype mag thatone of the two Samurai mixed traditional Japanese Sword style with Breakdancing . Right then knew I wanted to watch this show. I cant wait for it to come out
