Tomorrow's headlining news:
Seattle Supermarket Owner Arrested By Japanese Police For Copyright Infringement
Great idea, but someone's going to get pissed off over it.

Yeah, I doubt Japanese police has jurisdiction outside of Japan, unless the Japanese govt pressure the US government and US law enforcement to arrest the owners for doing that but I doubt that.

Interesting. On a side note, I visited this store in 2011 and LOVED it. A must see for anyone who is visiting Seattle.

My mother had to assure me it was Pikachu, and not Kyubey...
Well, I think I'll make a detour on my way to the toy section after work tomorrow (toy shipments are Thursdays, there should be new stuff tomorrow).

Those anime meat sculptures have a somewhat quirky look to them...
One would have to wonder what they'll look like after they've been roasted in the oven or fried in the pan...

I was grossed out.
I have no problem with consuming animals for food or other necessities such as clothing/medicine. Even seeing taxidermied critters hasn't really grossed me out. But the concept of making sculptures from processed raw flesh just seems creepy to me.
edit: I don't think I would be grossed out if it was presented cooked. For some reason, seeing it raw is what's getting to me.

Today was pokeballs and a really neat Charmander.
And I suggested Kyubey to the guy working the meat counter.
