Aww geez. This really sucks. My local Suncoast (If you could call 30 minutes away local) had pretty much any DVD, anime or otherwise. Now I have to go into Waldenbooks with their big DBZ standees that proclaim to have new Japanimation comics, not manga, but japanimation comics. I always feel like such a poser when I go in there.

My suncoast is usually packed, so I don't think they'll be closing it *I hope* but I like my Sam Goody in my little town. :( I hope they don't touch my two stores.

I'd rather go to Best Buy than Suncoast... The MSRP always seems so high to me after going to Best Buy...

Being packed sometimes doesn't matter. The Kmart was always full when I was there, but it closed down anyway.
I don't want my Suncoast to close. It's where I get my stuff from. I get manga, earn coupons, get anime. And it works well. If it closes, I guess I'll just have to shift over to B.Daltons. They have a manga bookcase now. And it's the same price. But Suncoast sometimes had good manga deals.
... when I walked by B.Daltons this weekend, they had an endcap advertising new things in for kids... and had all sorts of manga there... I KNOW a bunch of those were rated 'older teen'.

I just found out when i went into my local Sam Goody store that it will be one of the stores closing down. This is not good becuase it was the only place to buy animein my town. The next closest is 100 miles away. Guess I will have to order off the internet for now on.

can anyone find a list of the closing stores? I won't have a chance to go to Suncoast for a while and I'd like to know if they're closing. If my Sam Goody closes, I really won't care much, but it that Suncoast closes, I'll die

you'd think that suncoast would lower there prices slightly to compete with best buy but they don't. sure, there "on sale" when there released but its still abit high. The only thing that suncoast has going is the replay points.

the only thing I think Suncoast is good for is browsing to see what "looks good". than you right them down and go online and look them up.

Suncoast closing is a loss, even if their prices were higher. Best Buy is great, but their selection is wanting. I went to Best buy to get Trigun and they couldn't even order it for me. Suncoast was expensive, but they had anime I had never even heard of. Not to mention the selection of magazines, toys, manga, and various other related goods. Now where am I supposed to get fruit flavored Japanese beverages?

Crud...this sucks a fat one. This is where i got my anime most of the time. I gotta go see if the one near me is gonna close. That would piss me off a lot is they were gonna close. I was friends with the employees also. Will they have a big sale when they close?

I like Suncoast, but never for any of the Japanese snacks they sell. Why pay $3.99 for Pocky when your local Japanese grocery store sells it for $1.19? What's more ridiculous is that they're charging $3.99 for Yan-Yan when you can get it at your mom-n-pop shop for $0.79.
