Viz air Ranma 1/2 on Neon Alley this fall and re-release the series on Blu-ray based on Japan's Blu-ray masters.
I believe that a verb is missing from that sentence.

I'm still mystified as to how I missed Charlene Ingram's transition from Funimation to (of all places) Viz's animation marketing department.

I'm also still mystified as to why Viz still refuses to provide an on-demand streaming service; I don't know what this "catch up service" is but if it is some sort of "on-demand" functionality then I would have to ask why all of Neon Alley doesn't run "on-demand".

I was watching an episode of "Brain Games" that asserted that the way the mind works, having too many decisions to make is tough for the brain and makes us unhappy. Therefore, On-Demand is a double-edged sword: it's convenient, but on some level it's harder for us to decide we want to watch something when we could just make a more simple decision: to decide to see what's on, or not to decide.

That's why I'm not opposed to Neon Alley keeping its linear stream (though a pause and rewind feature would be nice), but am also really looking forward to the "catch-up" feature, because I've missed the first few episodes of certain shows since it's only been on PC since July.

Kazuma Kondou and Jinsei Kataoka's Deadman Wonderland manga is slated for release on February 11 with new volumes slated every two months. The series is based on the violent anime series that follows a boy who is falsely accused and put into a prison where people battle one another for organized entertainment.

Err, that's the wrong way around. The anime is based on the manga series.

What I want to know about the Ranma manga is: Will they get somebody to rework or at least extensively fix up that crap English adaptation that Gerard Jones inflicted on it?

Probably not. The right to left editions of One-Pound Gospel and Maison Ikkoku reused the Gerard Jones adaptation.

Then again Viz's X omnibuses have new scripts based on the old translation, instead of reusing Fred Burke's adaptation.

They also patched up the one for Fushigi Yuugi for its omnibus re-release. That's why I'm hoping.

Huh, I didn't know Nick Mamatas was a comic artist? I always knew him as the editor in chief of Haikasoru...

Is that correct?

It seems that he's written a number of works of fiction from what I could find, but I can't seem to find anything to suggest he's an artist himself. Am I mistaken on that?

Starting Point 1979-1996 and Turning Point are not biographical novels. They are collections of essays by Miyazaki. Starting Point was published in hardcover a few years back and it is good that we are now going to get Turning Point.
