This was one of my most wanted manga licenses and I am SO GLAD Vertical picked it up!!! Expecting an awesome release.
Wow, between this, and Viz reprinting Monster, and the Space Dandy announcement, Otakon is clearly winning.

I'm sooo excited for this series! I've loved everything I've read by Yoshinaga and have been wanting to own this series for years! Thank you so much Vertical for putting this series out!

I'm really interested in this. I'm keen to see a representation of gay life in Japan (which the yuri that I've read gives an admittedly, shall we say, circumscribed perspective on) and the premise seems like it lends itself to some real poignancy and subtly intriguing moments. I didn't realize at the time that it is from the mangaka of Ōoku: The Inner Chambers, which I've really enjoyed.
And food porn.
Ed Chavez was clearly extremely pleased to have licensed something by Fumi Yoshinaga. This is something that he really wanted to do.

I'm glad he's happy about picking it up too, this is a great title for Vertical to publish. I think it fits them perfectly (especially because of all the cook books they've also published aside from manga).

If you're going to pick up a Yoshinaga title, this is the one to go for. I own the first thee or four volumes in Japanese, and it's excellent. (It also avoids almost all of the stuff I dislike the most about her titles.)

Sweet! I'm so happy it got licensed! I can't wait for it to be released. I'm really interested in what recipes it's going to include because the food in the chapters I've seen looks divine!

I was at that panel, hearing that announcement was pretty well epic! Made my entire Otakon, clearly!

YES YES YES! I AM SO HAPPY VERTICAL PICKED THIS UP!
I'm a huge Fumi Yoshinaga fan anyway, but I was actually particularly interested in more of her foodie work after reading Not Love that Viz put out. I've seen this on Vertical's license requests lists several times, but I'm happy we're finally getting it.
