Man, I knew it! A DVD-Box for New Challenger popped up on Amazon.co.jp yesterday, after all these years, so I knew something must be coming!
Hope the seasons become more regular. I remember Takamura's voice actor saying they were already planning the third season while they were working on New Challenger, so I wonder what the hold up was. |

Well, this seems like the best time to start the first two seasons. I've read the first few volumes of the manga back when it first came out in French a few years ago (there's now something like 30-40 volumes out from the 100+ volumes in Japan, French publishers don't kid around when it comes to the classics
 )
Liked what I read though, so I think I'm in for a good time. |

yeah the french do manga right, American publishers vomit blood at the prospect of publishing a 10+ volume manga never mind 100+ sports one lol |

Yup Rikaya Koyama mentioned that indeed but i was starting to think that the plan was canceled or so. Thank god that more of Ippo is on the way. And i really hope that the seasons continue to cover all of the manga. Sight* I really hope someone licenses the show 
Now where is Shin Mazinger Season 2 ?

I was starting to think a continuation wouldn't happen, since a "third season" was teased almost 4 years ago. I will be watching this one. Just don't count on it being officially licensed at all. |
