Hah, I remember when KHII came out people were like "BLAH! Some teenybopper idol or something. LAME!" (even me to a degree)
But he's really made something of himself as the voice of Robin/Nightwing in Young Justice.

That was when Kingdom Hearts was a really big deal and Disney was pushing for the 'big name actors doing voices' thing. Now I think they're lucky that Jesse McCartney is willing to work with them. I think Square Enix is milking the franchise to the point when even fans of the franchise are getting tired of how many additions to the universe there are.
Edit: grammar.

I'm certainly tired as hell of it. The story is downright incomprehensible, for example.
I guess that's why I'm looking forward to this Remix though. For the first time in practically half a decade, the series has finally something to offer me.

@PrecisionCrab
I've pretty much decided that I'm not touching any Kingdom Hearts until Square Enix gets its act together and work on Kingdom Hearts III.
That said, on the topic of Jesse McCartney -- it's really refreshing to hear someone in Hollywood who is famous, versatile, and has a good work ethic. He's not as popular as when he was charting several years ago but he can easily return to the top 100 charts with a new album. You hear so much sleaze from Hollywood so it's really nice to hear about someone who focuses on his work and not on his ego.

I remember playing "Re:Chain of Memories" after beating the first "Kingdom Hearts" and I noticed that Haley Joel Osment's voice as Sora suddenly changed. If there would ever be a release of "Kingdom Hearts III", he would be somewhere in his 30s.

That can't be, I'm thirty this year and the I See Dead People show was out when I was about sixteen.

I was wondering what ever happened to Jesse, glad to see he's still in the music industry, and he's doing Kingdom Hearts, now that is cool. Glad to see he didn't go insane like a lot of the others to come out of Disney.

I don't have high expectations that this game will get a North American release. All the Final Mix games used English audio/voices and Japanese subtitles.

Well the story is made to be like one big puzzle, I wouldn't say its incomprehensible just..... very abstract.

Look. You really don't have to go and defend it.

??? I'm not dedending it just saying I personally don't find the story of a series as much of a mess as you do. Its far from perfect mind you, but its not incomprehensible, again its like a puzzle each game adds pieces you have to put together to understand the overall story.

It's comprehensible like The X-Files was comprehensible by the time Mulder and Scully had hooked up.
Is my analogy too old?

No, not at all I get what your saying (I think) And I completely agree.
Speaking of which, that second X-Files Movie was pointless & disappointing.
.... Also am I a bad person for wanting to see a modern X-Files series * I watched that religiously when it was on TV, and again when they re-ran it on Sci-Fi Channel*
Back On Topic, I look forward to getting the HD collection, i'm not much of a gamer at all anymore but KH like Disgaea & Zelda is one of the few franchises I still really love to play.

I don't believe any English audio was recorded exclusively for the Final Mix edition though.
What a dick move it would be to go to the finacial trouble of hiring the English voice actors to record new material but not give any expense to bringing it over to NA. Yeah... no.
If I'm worried about anything its that they'll put out a crippled non-Final Mix version (how incredibly stupid would that be though?) in North America but either way the Kingdom Hearts HD collection, in some form, will certainly come out in NA. I had my doubts prior, mind you, but this news pretty much confirms it for me.
