So, in the long awaited Final Fantasy XV, the main character is going to fall in love with someone of the same sex?
Of course, being Final Fantasy characters, nobody's going to tell the difference anyway. |

Pft, this is lame. The whole gaming industry has gone gay. I'm not homophobic, but god give it a break. Well FF XIV staff, I hope you reconsider.

It's already in their cartoons, so why not MMOs? Hope they have a more open mindset than Bioware did

Wow, gay marriage, yeah, THAT'S what the game was missing.
Guys, to be honest, if you've fixed up the game so much that you have time to add that in, go ahead, by all means. Also, if you're gonna do it, don't beat around the bush, go the whole 9 yards. PS: If you feel the need to add "I'm not homophobic, but" to your argument... you ARE homophobic. |

Pretty much the only thing that could entice me to play a Final Fantasy game would be adding relationship elements like Star Ocean 2, Thousand Arms, Record of Agarest War or Persona 4, though I still won't play it if it's only a boring MMORPG, since I'm a fuddy-duddy who only plays single-player JRPGs offline.

Because you know his heart better than he does himself, and can see that his comment was motivated by fear even when he says otherwise? |

Considering that he felt so motivated by his desire to comment that they shouldn't add this that he made an account then yes, I'd say its a pretty good guess. Also, there is quite literally no other reason to object to this than homophobia. (also Homophobia doesn't mean literal "fear") |

Hahaha, I forget this is ANN and not tumblr.
I was really about to say
but then, comments... Welp, better go back to my crops, since it seems we still on the middle ages! Might as well do some candles and butter too. |

As a player of FFXIV from launch and looking avidly forward to ARR, I think this would be a good addition if they're adding the marriage in already. A lot of people I know like to play characters that don't match their real-life genders, and I think the opportunity to marry your character to a friend or RL partner's character regardless of gender would be a nice idea. Not to mention there's the whole equality aspect.

If you say "Oh, I'm not homophobic!", it's kinda obvious you're a blatant liar who is probably in denial about your own sexual orientation. |

I, for one, am tired of them pushing their Sodomite agenda onto the masculine, godly sacrament that is JRPGs with lady-boys and underage girl leads!
Hey Square, maybe you should concentrate on making a FF game somebody will actually want to play. |

Why is this even a question? This should be in by default; if only for the fact that it limits a player's options within the context of the game. In what universe is limiting options a good idea?

Simply put square enix has to market and sell the game in christian countries/nations and the back-lash might be to much. I can see fox-news running an article now on this. |
