glad to hear she is safe, but I think that post indicates she was having some series problems, that she was still getting over, and she posted without letting anyone else know.

You don't need to know. You're not involved in public mental health, you're not a law-enforcement officer, and the woman's an adult so she doesn't have a guardian with any sort of entitlement to that knowledge.

The difference between a soap opera and real-life-events is that a soap opera is written for you, and so the people who write it have an obligation-of-sorts to you, whereas real-life-events are written by the people involved for themselves, not for you, and so the participant's only real obligations are to themselves, and not to you.

This sort of thing ends in tragedy all too often.

Glad to see she's safe and sound. Hope everything works out well.

It made ANN as a missing person report. There has to be a follow-up.

The only reason it made ANN was because she was in an anime club. Other then that, who cares?

This is a follow-up. Medetashi-medetashi. What more do you think you're owed?

Sounds like she is in the care of a mental health professional. Perhaps to cure her anime addition

I wouldn't put it like that. The follow up is more that she was found and that's that. End of story.

Looking on the web, the only reason why there are any stories about her is because it got posted on ANN.

Honestly, I'm not really satisifed with this yet... can we at least get a family member confirming she's been seen in person?

I've read one too many stories about killers hiding their deeds by pretending to be their vicitims digitally to accept a facebook post as proof she's OK.

@ DuelLadyS

Good point. I can only hope that she had more of a contact with her family and they all decide not to comment further, but they know she's okay. Just updating the Facebook page without further details isn't good enough.
