LOL, nice wet dreams you have there.

The industry can only dream that their draconian distribution monopoly still last till 2035.

Sorry but your digital, internet crushing war can only delay so much innovation and artists and consumers from freedom.

More and more people nowadays are waking up to the entertainment industry evil schemes.

There is a reason why individual sharers (uploadres/downloadres) are not being actively and fiercely hunted down, save from some extremely unlucky one... most of them represent also the buyers or concert/movie/etc goers.

Same as why theres a reason only the big sites are crushed, illegally btw, without due process and in violation of laws anywhere, because now they do represent the competition that can crush an outdated business models.

Still this is infinitely better if they want to voice their POV rather than the international terrorism of the US, MPAA and RIIAA.

There is a special something to "Message" comics ain't there? But I wonder since this is a web manga, does it have the usual page count limits the old American PSA ones did.

Scanlating this won't actually have any irony at all, given how it's already free.

When the fan explains that she was uploading the music because the band's label went bankrupt before they could have their major debut, the Music Moral Keepers stop her by telling her that uploading music is damaging to the industry and ultimately reduces the number of bands who will gain major exposure.

So this fangirl is the protagonist? Razz

I'm sure exposing others to an unknown band's music for free on the internet will destroy their careers. Just look at the damage that starting that way has done to Hatsune Miku and Justin Beiber!

Just because it's free doesn't give you the right to distribute it, unless the site says "Please feel free to distribute this"

And you definitely don't have the legal right to translate it and distribute a translated version on your own.

So yeah, scanlating it would still be deliciously ironic Smile

Since it's not an American publication, I'd bet not.

This is one of my favorite things: The Dead Kennedys once released a little EP, titled In God We Trust, Inc. on cassette. On the side B of the cassette, they inscribed "Home Taping is Killing Record Industry Profits! We Left This Side Blank So You Can Help". This was 1981.

The music industry has been crying wolf for decades. Excuse me if I no longer trust these useless parasites.

I'd love to see news regarding the Japanese market's reaction to this, as they all ask in unison: "If piracy is such a problem, how can you produce record print runs?"

It is of my belief if it wasn't for piracy, these record print runs wouldn't be possible.

There's one thing I don't want in reading manga is government propaganda.
This is the music industry's way of telling the manga-reading public in Japan,
"BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU".

Damn right. Parasites indeed.

Remember the entertainment industry BIG FAT LIES, has been going on since they exist and since the aberration of copyright was created.

Every time there is innovation, they cry because SUPPOSEDLY its kills their industry...

Remember it happened with TV, the said it was gonna kill their beloved industry. It happened with the radio too. It happened with home video/vhs/beta. And so on and so on, their target now is the internet and they wont be happy until they control it.

I pity those naive ones that believe the industry's BS about the internet and the supposed piracy/sharing thats killing them.

If their damn lies were to be believed the entertainment should have died well before most of us were even born.
