YES to both! I didn't think Atelier Ayesha would actually get picked up considering how inconsistent NIS has been with this.

Hell yeah. I need to start Disgaea 3. I already beat 1 and 2, though I didn't do much of the bonus content of each... I'll play those too. Still need to buy 4.

I love Disgaea--I've owned all the games--but even I'm getting sick of the same old formula...

One of the reasons I quit number 4 early on (I didn't even get past the second post-game stage, whereas in Disgaea 3 I played enough to get a Level 9999 Mao with a Maxed-out Baal Sword), was because it just felt like a ton of repetitive grinding. I know grinding is the meaning of Disgaea but it felt like I was putting forth a ton of effort for nothing.

Not to mention everything just becomes a One-Hit KO fest by the end.

Try a no-grind run. I do that in every game, it's a nice self-imposed challenge.

Inconsistent? How? They brought over every console Atelier game in the past 8 years: Atelier Iris 1-3, Mana Khemia 1-2, and the 3 Arland games. The haven't touched handheld Atelier games since they tried it with Annie, which suggests Annie didn't do very well for them.

It still feels like they just released Disgaea 4, but I can never say no to more Disgaea!

Also, on an unrelated note, Makai Kingdom is misspelled in the article. >.>

Well they announced their INTENTION to make Disgaea5. That doesn't even mean they've begun development yet. They did say after 4 they needed some time to generate new ideas.

IMHO they need to revamp the combat system. Larger maps that require better tactics and destructible defenses, etc.

Well I'm certainly happy to hear both of these announcements. More Disgaea is welcome for me, but I gotta admit, I think I'll be more looking forward to the next Atelier game... but that's largely because good old JRPGs are my thing. I've been playing JRPGs since I was seven or eight, and I've never gotten tired of them.

As for the Atelier games in particular, of those that I've played thus far I absolutely love the artwork and soundtracks of these game. Unfortunately I've only been able to play the Arland trilogy thus far, so I'm looking forward to playing a game with a different setting.

That said, if I get the opportunity, I'd still like to pick up some of the older Atelier games to give them a go.

That and the other handheld titels are kind of crappy. Lots of bugs and glitches. Or so I heard from importers.

This is great news. I played the crap out of every Disgaea, beating every super boss and platinums for 3 & 4. Even the new Baal DLC was beaten. The article only mentions Makai Kingdom and Prinny PSP. What about the others, like La Pucelle Tactics, Phantom Brave, etc.?

But, Disgaea 4 came out in September in the U.S. and February of 2011. I think a new Disgaea game every 2 to 3 years is not all that fast.

Disgaea 4's my first title in the series. I got it about a month or so ago.

So I won't mind a bit of Disgaea 5.
