Not really a big enough deal for someone who already has a 3DS to spend money on as the DSi XL was, which in comparison to the original DSi had nearly double the battery life... And you know, the larger screens were nice. In my opinion though, larger screens and two more hours of battery life aren't enough for anyone to spend an extra $50.

I'm feeling a price drop of the original to around $149 USD when this releases.

I guess i'll go for the Japanese version so that i can guarantee playing Project X Zone anyway. I wish if it's region free this time.

I'm getting one, simply because it looks like it fixes the issues of the screen scratching itself. Plus, it will probably fit better in my hands.

Anyways, I see lack of Circle Pad Pro support as a problem, as well as the lower pixel density. I really hope they release a CPP for this, as there are some great games out there that use it (Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts).

IMO the big news here is that Namco is making the next Smash Bros. This guarantees Pac Man and maybe Lloyd. I hope they can live up to the expectations.

The better comparison is that they made SoulCalibur and Tekken, two of the best competitive fighting game series. They know how to make fighters, at the very least.

I'm surprised that ANN isn't mentioning that the 3DSXL does not come with an AC adapter (source: Bulbanews, from the official video).

As for me, as long as it's region locked, it's a no-buy anyway, so it's a moot point. But even if they remove the locking, unless adapters are dirt cheap, they'd've lost my sale by making me buy the only way to recharge my battery seperately.

Yey! I like it. I always found nintendo consoles having too small screens. With this it plays better, especially if one has bad eyesight.

It doesn't come with an AC adapter in Japan. In the US it still will. http://kotaku.com/5920420/nintendo-announces-a-new-bigger-3ds Though I guess I don't know where you live, so maybe that's still an issue.
