Heck Yeah! Very Happy
Although I'm surprised it's not accessible to all of Latin America since the Saint Seiya franchise is very popular there.

Yes! I was hoping Crunchyroll would pick this up since they aired Lost Canvas. Good choice, Crunchyroll!

Nice. I enjoyed Lost Canvas. Hopefully this is as good or better.

I don't know about you guys, but I think that "Saint Seiya Omega's" going to sink like a stone here. The original version didn't do well in America. I doubt it's going to come here.

Hello, this is my first post here, I've registered 'cause I've found images of the first episode of Saint Seiya Omega in this website: http://www.deculture.es/2012/03/30/saint-seiya-omega-imagenes/

I don't know if I can post links to other sites, so mods, if I'm breaking any rules, please feel free to delete this comment.

Have a nice day everyone.

I'm really surprised that Crunchyroll actually got this series considering that Toei Animation is at times very reluctant to license their TV anime series beyond Japan.

I hope that this would open the way for a future US release on BD/DVD. Or the Japanese release including English sub.

I'm guessing they view the same as One Piece. The franchise has failed once here already, so they might as well allow it to be streamed legally instead of holding onto some blind hope it could be some enormous hit here.

The various Saint Seiya productions have been widely distributed outside of Japan, with TV series, movies, and OVA's regularly getting French, Spanish and Portuguese dubs, and over the air broadcasts as well as cable narrowcasts. At a quick glance through the Encyclopedia, it looks like TV Azteca in Mexico has broadcast every "St. Seiya" ever made, so there's no reason why they wouldn't be broadcasting this, and once they've been dubbed into Spanish in Mexico, they tends to get picked up for broadcast in an assortment of other Latin American countries over time.

If Toei is going to do some form of streaming as marketing support the series in Latin America and in France, they may as well license it to Crunchyroll for countries where its not an established mainstream success. And Crunchyroll had some of the St Seiya OVA's, so they'd have pretty solid streaming numbers to go on when they put together their MG bid for the series.
