Looks like spoiler[her eye is alright now.]

Either that or part of the story is set in the past...

its a shame that the good part of Blood-C will be in this movie, couldn't they have just scrapped the first half of the series and put this material into the series, at least that way the viewers wouldn't have gotten bored stiff over the first 6 or so weeks of it airing, or was all that stuff popular with japanese viewers and just not western viewers?

It wasn't popular anywhere. Sales are miserable.

I liked the show, but maybe it was because I am a CLAMP fan and knew what to expect going into the show. I have a feeling that if I wasn't, and watched this just as a Blood fan I would have been bored and disappointed in the first half of the series too.

...Okay...confused already.
Considering the end of the series, spoiler[how the heck is Saya's eye essentially back to normal, considering that it (and a portion of her face) was practically blown off point-blank?]

Well...still going to try and reserve some judgement until I actually see the movie, although if it's confusing me on one element already, that's already telling me something bad is going to happen...

Personally, I really enjoyed Blood-C, right from the start - but then I am a bit of a CLAMP fan, way back to Magic Knight Rayearth days on VHS. Not that I've seen/read all CLAMP stuff, but a good portion. All the way through I felt that it was building up to a really nasty situation. CLAMP loves taking what seems to be a simple situation and complicating it - the end of MKR is a good example of this.

I have to say I didn't pick the big twist that spoiler[everyone was involved in deceiving Saya] though it was obvious that some were, including spoiler[who the mastermind was].

spoiler[Regarding Saya's eye - remember that she has phenomenal healing abilities. My last thought at the end of the last episode was "That eye will be healed soon".]

I haven't seen the -C series yet, though I have seen trailers. Though I was initially concerned after having seen the character designs for the series, and after having read reviews, the trailer for this movie rekindles my interest in the series. I'll be picking up the series when it gets its N.A. release and will also look forward to The Last Dark.

According to the edit, the movie takes place a whole year after the series, so that's plenty of time for Saya to heal up. Razz

This anime is the "best-looking" worst anime of all time. I enjoy the fighting, but that plot is truly awful. It's paced awful. Any subtlety is lost when they beat it into your head over and over again until the ending is all but obvious. The parts you wouldn't guess you wouldn't care about, because the premise and characters of the show are thinly created.

Even if you are a fan of clamp, you don't deserve this type of punishment. I cannot strongly enough not recommend this show to anyone - except as an exercise of awful for a mystery science theater.

Which is why it was good that it was on NicoNico.

The show is pretty, the action fluent, but the plot kills that mood.

I wonder what are the chances this movie will salvage the TV series? Or maybe what are the chances it will be far superior to a point the TV series will become a distant memory?

Take one "last Vampire" coursely chopped.
Add one whole "Blood-C".
Season with arrogance and a clove of gettingawaywithit.
Put in a blender and puree for 90minutes.
Pour into a bucket.
Add a sprig of scepticism and serve in a darkened room at room temperature.

Enjoy Wink

So obviously Saya can spoiler[regenerate lost body parts], they will probably come up with a silly excuse that no one will believe while the writers don't care. Or maybe it is a spoiler[glass eye-ball]?

It looks better than the series but I am not going to hold my breath.

If the film will be as awsome as the trailer, then I won't regret watching the series at least~
