Before I clicked I had Little Busters pegged at number one. Glad to see I wasn't too far off.

I definitely would like to see anime based off BlazBlue, CT, and Persona 3 (one that was more direct than Trinity Soul).

it would appear some exec saw the last poll, with iDOLM@STER and Persona 4 getting animes recently, wonder if any of the others from that new list will get adapted?

Man, Ide love to see a Little Busters anime adaptation. That said though, I dont think its overly suited for the role since the stories in LB dont seem as easy to alternate between in the same way that the other 3 VN based Key anime are.

If they wanted to do an anime for it, they would probably have to focus on the Rin2/Refrain arcs only. Seems kinda hard to juggle spoiler[ shadow clones and family pressures and half a nuclear apocalypse] which beg the main characters undivided attention and still have him end up with Rin in the end...

I don't think Disney would want KH to be an anime, because they wouldn't be able to QC their characters getting into "wacky" situations. It's not like that Lilo and Stitch spin-off, which just has them changing locales. KH is already official fan-fiction, and the last thing Der Mouse would want is seeing its iconic characters ruined in crappy stories. [Well, except for those wretched DTV sequels, of course. Rolling Eyes] Also, from what I heard, there is a Chrono Trigger anime, but it was a promotional thing. I don't see the point of MGS and Yakuza getting anime, though, because the whole appeal of them is that they take place in realistic settings.
Personally, I'd like anime for Xenogears, Strider, Zelda, Secret of Mana, Zero from Mega Man, and Katamari. Cool

Phoenix Wright and BlazBlue really scsream for an anime to me. They're perfect with their wacky moments. Okami, not so sure. It has alot of content to cover and I can see them cutting alot of it or add filler when not needed.

Kingdom Hearts, I expected either an anime or a Disney cartoon/movie long ago. I don't understand why they didn't capitalize on it when it was popular.

Some of Rorona's stuff screams for otaku, so they go after that niche with that one.

Any of these I would love to watch. I'm not much into video games these days so getting to know these franchise through a different medium would be awesome.

The article didn't mention that there was a 12 minute God Eater prequel short that's still streaming with subs.

It's too bad to see Atelier Rorona drop off the radar a little bit, because it seems like a great candidate for a game-turned-anime. The game itself unfolds at a pretty leisurely pace, so a nice slow paced slice-of-life anime in a quasi-medieval setting could be made. I'm thinking equal parts Spice and Wolf and Hidamari Sketch here.

The Puyo Puyo franchise is a lot of fun, but I'm not sure how you'd make 13 episodes of anime out of it. Blazblue could be interesting, but when it comes to fighting games turned anime, you almost have to assume such a thing will be terrible unless there's extremely compelling evidence otherwise.

Aside from Little Busters! it'd be really nice to have a Planetarian series of OVAs; that was a great (if short) story, and so moving at the end. I could easily see it as expandable since so little of that World was depicted/explained.

For the terminally depressed, Narcissu 1 & 2 might be a good tear-jerker (and neck-hanger LOL)... too much zetsubou, I suspect.

Funny how Persona 4 won last time and was made into an anime... maybe we'll get Gyakuten Saiban in the next year or two. It's already got a manga.

All they really have to do is make it like Detective Conan, which occasionally has courtroom battles. They can have Ryuichi going around finding clues to a murder scene, then outing the criminal. Only Gyakuten Saiban would have to be much more epic and over-the-top with screaming and epically animated pointing and stuff. Mayoi can be his cute assistant who tags along, and do the whole Chihiro storyline.

Definitely agree that Disney wouldn't be cool with their characters being used in an anime. Of course, even if by some miracle "Der Mouse" could be convinced to let Square-Enix develop an anime, they don't exactly have a great track record for adapting their games into movies/TV *cough*Final Fantasy Spirits Within*cough*Final Fantasy Unlimited*cough*.
A Rockman Zero anime sounds awesome. The only problem is you need a rudimentary knowledge of Rockman X to understand the full story, but exploring this through flashback segments or maybe even a full episode would be even better, especially for Rockman fans like me.
Katamari Damacy would make a very cool (and quirky) OAV, but there isn't really enough story there for a full anime series.
As for me, I think Seiken Densetsu (AKA Final Fantasy Adventure) would make a great OAV, but considering the age of the game I'd say that ship already sailed. Metroid Other M would also work, if Team Ninja hadn't already spliced all the cut scenes together into a movie of sorts and included it in the game as an unlockable feature (plus most Metroid fans seem to really hate this game, I guess for reminding them that Samus is a woman and not a mindless killing machine). Shantae could also be stretched out into an anime series, but since WayForward isn't a Japanese developer that seems like it would be a real challenge to coordinate.
Of course, I have one other suggestion. Picture it: a movie trilogy that begins with a young boy awakening in the middle of Scramble Crossing (a famous traffic intersection in the Tokyo ward of Shibuya, for those who don't know) with no memory of how he got there, or anything outside of his name. Before he can ponder his situation further, he receives a text message on his phone: "Reach 104. You have 60 minutes. Fail, and face erasure. --The Reapers". I speak, of course, of a movie series based upon the game Subarashiki Kono Sekai AKA It's a Wonderful World AKA The World Ends With You (American title for American gamers). Each movie could cover one of the weeks in the game, and if the series proved popular, an OAV could be added based on the "Another Day" epilogue story. In a word, it would be EPIC!

P.S. Yes, I realize two of the games I listed are also Square-Enix games, and therefore susceptible to the same potential difficulties I mentioned earlier. However, saying that you want a game made into a movie is not the same as saying that you want a well made movie. I think even a half-assed Seiken Densetsu or Subarashiki Kono Sekai would still be worth seeing as long as the story and characters remained more or less the same. Anyway, I'm not giving Square-Enix enough credit. After all, they did produce both Fullmetal Alchemist TV series based on manga they published.
