Sheh recounted that Freeman was astonished by how much dialogue he had in the film; she called the movie "the Kyon show, with the Kyon-Inner-Monologue show on top."

Laughing God damn it, Sheh! Oh wow! Actually I would definitely see Kyon hosting a late night talk show with his own comedy sketches. Especially if he made a joke regarding the 2004 documentary film about McDonalds.

Sheh then jokingly chastised the audience for pronounce "dream time" like Americans rather than Japanese people ("do-rii-mu ta-i-mu)

"Me fail English? That unpossible!"

I was there, and my first thought was that Sheh was simply telling the audience how to pronounce it, rather than chastising them for "mispronouncing" it, but I was still deafened by Bandai's wannabe hip-hop star screaming so loudly into the microphone that the speakers produced audio artifacts (and I was right in front of said speakers).

Though this left out the best part, which was how Sheh said this: "You have to say it like you're Japanese, do-rii-mu ta-i-mu, throw those extra syllables in there", to which some ignorant soul decried "racisim".

Might as well chuck the dub of Haruhi in the bin. I don't mind dubs at all but the Japanese version of Kyon is so fantastic that I couldn't listen to Freeman's decent attempt without yearning for the sub again.

Really? Really? Good lord, people are so ignorant they don't even know what actual racism is.
