I bet a $1 that if this movie does extremely well we/Japan will get a third Fullmetal movie.

Oh dear... I hope this is a side story rather than something that takes place after the TV series, as it would be painful to have to see what contrived reasoning is used for certain things about the lead characters being reverted from what they were at the end of the TV show.

Even then, if it's anything like Conqueror of Shamballa, I'll happily give it a miss.

It's doing ok, not that impressive for a mainstream anime movie...it'll probably finish between $5-6 Million.

I guess lots of fans aren't that eager to watch a filler, like me.

Watching this at Otakon, as I know this is yet another cash in on a successful franchise. I'm getting annoyed on how people think this a continuation of Brotherhood, as it's obviously not canon.

Nothing beats a free screening, son.

The fans look plenty eager to me by putting an anime movie not even on 100 screens in the top 5 for 2 weeks in a row.

I think it has more to do with the fact that FMA: B flopped in Japan. I am pretty sure this movie was green lighted when they where expecting FMA: B to average 50,000 in bluray dvd sales, and not the 12,000 they got.

The sequences there look excellent, I have no reason why so many people are hating on Kenichi Konishi's work considering his excellent work on Tokyo Godfather, Millenium Actress, and various Ghibli movies. The scene where Ed creates a spear and throws it in particular is amazing.

Saw it. Do not get too excited, FMA fans.

The booklet they were giving away for attending was pretty cool, though. Feeling tempted to see it again just to nab another copy.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm tired of FMA. It's time for it to go away. I hope this is the last cash-in.

It's hard to catch lightning in the bottle twice, especially the 2nd time around (Yogi B).
