WELL, I know which director I'm standing in line for an autograph....

But now I gotta debate as to if I want him to sign Hetalia or Diamond Daydreams....

I was wondering when Funi would release the next season. I'm looking forward to the release.

Yeah, I'm also disappointed that Otakon is "Hetaliacon" once more.

Though I do want to meet some of those VAs, but parading them in under the Hetalia banner might very well cause the zealous fangirls to keep me at bay. J Michael Tatum Autograph @ Otakon 2011?! Hah, it would be easier to get through an autograph line for Greg Ayres, Vic Mignogna, & Todd Haberkorn, with the line being for all 3 of them. Tatum is worth his weight in gold to Otakon; The fangirl demographic is an awesome thing.

I'm surprised Funi is even bringing out the director of Hetalia (Scott Sager), a man who is pretty unknown. As if we needed further proof of how obscenely popular Hetalia is. Though that does not bode well for me as I do not care for Hetalia. I want Patrick Seitz to sign something like Ergo Proxy or Texhnolyze or even Melody of Oblivion. I finally get my chance, and now it seems Hetalia is taking it from me. Crying or Very sad Rolling Eyes

On the plus side, the Japanese guests are pretty interesting, as are the non-Hetalia VAs going to Otakon. You know, those 3-4 people that will be completely forgotten by the majority of the con. Why would we be thinking about Slayers or Now and Then when we have Hetalia at hand, God's gift to anime?! Rolling Eyes

As a huge Hetalia fan myself, I'm bracing for the inevitable controversy from something tactless asked by one of the fans to the guests. Cons are when the crazies come out of the woodwork after all, and Hetalia crazies can be much more "special" than most.

Hetalia actually has 102, soon to be 103 episodes so far (52 for the original 'Axis Powers' series, 48 for 'World Series', 1 Bonus Episode on the Axis Powers Fandisk, and 2 Extra Episodes so far online).

I'm a big Hetalia fan, but unless it's Hidekaz Himaruya they bring in, I really don't care to meet any one.
I would probably use the time others are using for this to explore and get into areas of the con I would otherwise avoid because of long lines or over crowding.

Unfortunately....I wont be attending Otakon....to far away....pifft. Bloody.

How so? Just get in line with the show of your choice. I've gotten some cute reactions from folks when my selected series is something more obscure than they normally see, you could get a nice 'con moment' out of it. Get there early (the front of the line is typically a quieter bunch, ready to sit down for a few hours wait), and brind headphones for later on.

disclaimer: my experience is based entirely in Northwest cons. If I am somehow utterly underestimating the kind of nutbars who go to east coast cons, I apologize. Laughing

If I remember right, last year for autographs of the hetalia folk, it HAD to be a hetalia item. I don't care much about english VAs outside of a few special people, but that irked me a lot Sad

There was at least one signing where it had to be a Hetalia item, and that was the group autographing directly after the Hetalia premiere. It was clear from the beginning that we needed at least one Hetalia-specific autograph session just to deal with the demand. But they all had non-Hetalia-centric sessions as well.

This year there will be VA autographings and panels that are not tied to Hetalia specifically -- though I'm sure you won't be able to avoid it, just like you will hear a lot of FMA stuff if you attend a Vic M panel.

So the premier of the dub of Hetalia World Series? ^^ Does that mean we'll get the release date as well? And maybe for the movie too? I'm waiting anxiously!
