So... would a fistful of Moe Jelly be a literal Moe Blob, then?

I'm going to go way out on a limb and suggest that the anthropomorphization craze is getting slightly out of hand. It won't be long before so much is anthropomorphized that they'll have characters waking up, putting on another character, eating another character for breakfast, riding a bishonen to work, and work is typing at a computer which is actually a girl. I think they're just missing anthropomorphized clothing, sounds tough to do but I'm sure someone will figure it out.

People should really stop winning threads with the first post.
So, would the moe pantsu be mortified that someone saw her pantsu? (who would be mortified that...) It's an infinite recursion of moe! |

Someone needs to relax. You do know America already did everything you stated as being a craze and out of hand. |

I'm not really worked up. I started typing up a list of crazy stuff to anthropomorphize, and realized I could cite examples It doesn't actually bug me that much. I was going to throw in a note about wandering off to watch Strike Witches, but decided I'd already wasted enough time on the post as it was. Still, jelly flavors as anime girls. |

If they threw Kana Hanazawa in there, all hell would break loose.

I've always wanted jelly that calls me an idiot and tells me to shut up repeatedly. Now somebody needs to make Peanut Butter-tan so I can have a proper sandwich.

Hell, yes!! It's not surprising though, both Japan and US are really good it this. It's just fun to see how silly it really is by looking at it from our outside perspective. I'm sure many of us see Tony the Tiger and think nothing of it, but it's the same thing. Boardroom Exec. One: "How are we going to sell our product to children?" Boardroom Exec. Two: ".............a talking tiger!" |

Stop that. It is easier for us to poke fun at a foreign culture and ignore any correlations with our own

I think Japan as a whole just jumped the shark.

To add to the "lol what" list of moe anthropomorphism, we have: - Akikan - A ongoing light novel series about anthropomorphized soda cans with a 12 episode Anime series. - Binchou-tan - a 12 episode Anime series this time with anthropomorphized charcoal. - Gokicha/Cockroach Girls - the title is self explanatory; it's about a cockroach that tries to look for a human friend. |

"Moe" and jelly. I don't know, but somehow, it works.
Japan is using moe to promote a lot of things as of late aren't they? Or has this always been going on? |
