Getting Trust and Betrayal on Blu-ray will be well worth it. It's easily one of the best anime that I've ever seen. The story is incredibly well done in the first place, and translates well to animated form. It's essentially true to the manga except where they went for a higher level of realism than the manga did. The animation is fantastic. It has some of the best sword fight scenes in any anime that I've ever seen, and there are very few that come even close to it in that regard. The music's great too. There are a few things in it about which I could be nitpicky, but overall, it's fantastic. It definitely deserves a Blu-ray release.
As for the movie and Reflections... Well, it was worth watching the movie, but I'm not sure that it's worth forking out for a Blu-ray version of it (especially at Aniplex's prices), and I'm not sure that I ever really want to watch it again anyway. It was okay, but nothing exciting. Reflections, on the other hand, was a complete travesty. It looked good visually, and that's about all the good that I can say about it. It was a narrative mess and did things with the characters which totally went against their character (particularly Kenshin). Little of it was based on the manga, and the little of it which was was too thoroughly changed and too truncated to have much value. So, the only reason that I'd fork out money for either of those is simply because of the completionist in me. They just aren't worth money.
Regardless, it's fantastic that Trust and Betrayal will be on Blu-ray. It definitely deserves it. I'm looking forward to it. And here's to hoping that the new anime is actually at least as good as the old one.

sucks to be a rurouni kenshin fan, though it's not like media blaster could get the license for these.

Sounds good to me. Better get it while the getting's good, though. Aniplex seem to enjoy these one-time limited print BD runs (first KnK, then Baccano, and now the Kenshin OVAs & movie), and who knows if they'll ever re-release those titles on BD (or even DVD) again.

Okay, so I knew Aniplex would crank up the prices per their usual retarded "pricing guide", but $65 for a set of four episodes? $55 for a single movie?
Oh, and if anyone is interested, I'll probably get around to selling off my Durarara DVDs sometime soon. I really don't feel like putting up with anymore bullshit these jackasses tend to churn out. I'm a guy who likes to support the anime industry - not robbery.
