Hopefully we see a Canadian release, Eva 1.0 packed theaters here in Toronto and I know it did in Calgary as well from what my brother told me.

Unless I can go to my local theater and see it, I couldn't care less about these types of releases. I'm not going to trek to the nearest big city just to watch a movie.

Depending on the movie, I would. If Summer Wars comes within a state of me, I'm going to try my hardest to see it. |

>Eva 2.0 >"Just" a movie I don't know about you but after watching it fansubbed, I would be more than willing to blow some gas money to see it on a big screen. It's really, really amazing IMO. |

Seeing Eva 2.22 in theaters would be totally awesome. But odds are it'll end up like last time where there'll be 50 theatres in Canada playing it and only 7 or 8 here in the US, with the closest one hundreds of miles away from me.

Is there an official list of theaters that are screening it?
They really need a theater on long island to show it... it's one of the most densely populated areas in North America! Over 7.5million people live here! (The little fish shaped island attached to New York) |

well with theaters going digtal we might get on on the island. When Anncast was talking to funi a few shows ago they did talk about looking into digial theaters and I know of at least one in Farmingdale that's equipped for that. Wasn't there a place in Port Washington or one of the other towns with port in the name that used to get Funi's movies a few years back? I will agree it's a pain to have to have to go into the city for a theater. We just have to keep an eye out for random cosplaying near movie theaters that's how i found out the FMA movie was playing years ago.

If they would've released this a month earlier, they could've submitted it for the Oscar's Best Animated Film nomination and thus push the eligible films to 16 and gotten 5 nominations, instead of just 3.
Relax, they always show this in NYC, just a train ride away. |

As much as I love the tiny art house theater in Harvard Square that I saw it the first one in, I kinda hope to see it in a larger venue. Then again that theater did serve beer and drinking along with Misato was fun.

Eva 2.0 is from 2008, so it would have been disqualified. Here's hoping for a Canadian release, even if it's just another one night only event. The release they did for 1.0 was a lot of fun! |

Why didn't I think of the train? That would make a pretty cool day. I might just do that. |

I'd love to see this but I'm 99% sure that I live about 8+ states away from the closest theater in any direction.

The blu-ray is coming out March 29, 2011. Right Stuf lists it already: Evangelion, Neon Genesis: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance Blu-ray (Hyb) |
