Oh I love this manga because it has that same innocence that Yotsuba does. There's not much plot and it's pretty easygoing still it's rather very cute and well drawn.

All and all I was actually fairly underwhelmed by Chi's Sweet Home. It's cute but really not much else. And the lisp still drives me crazy, though I see in the thread for the review of GN 1 that it was something done by the original creator, which at least means I don't blame Vertical.

I actually recently wrote a review for this volume and volume 1 and overall gave it a C+. It was fun but really not much else. And I am a cat lover who has a kitty of my own who I love dearly so it's not that I'm not the type of person to like cute kitty stuff. But I've just seen better.

This review is really spot on. This volume took me by complete surprise since Chi had been sugary sweet up to this point. The story arc with Blackie is so touching! I'd recommed checking it out in-store if you are unsure.

Also (since it was brought up), Chi's baby voice does become less and less. There are still moments like "scwary" or "pwey", but it isn't as bad as vol 1. Oddly enough this was a complaint I had about the first vol. However, after sticking with the series up to now it isn't as bothersome as it originally was. Go figure.
