This is AWESOME NEWS to me! Even though the character designs are definately kind of generic, it's wonderful to get an opportunity to visualize one's ideas, even with the lack of drawing skill.

I frequently have ideas for plots, scenes, characters and actually picture panels in my head but am just to frustrated with the gap between what I can draw and what I imagine. Now while the optimum would be to find a talented artist and team up in "Bakuman Style", I'd first like to verify if my ideas could work out - this could be the perfect platform for testing the waters - 'hope the English version comes soon! *_*

I'm guessing this may have a similar impact as the introduction of Vocaloid, where hobby composers that couldn't sing or find a vocalist got creatively fired up by the power of simulated voices (not fan of the voices, but I love the compositions)

In this case many good storytellers that stayed in the closet for their "shameful" drawings will step up and take their chance!

Wait........they're making something that helps people who can't draw (unless you like stickfigures) and make their own manga?

Who told someone to do something that made sense in Japan?
