I want this. I love the detail.

Hopefully it'll make it to North America.

It will, all models and figures are always widely available for purchase in the west and don't require some outdated form of licensing.

You just have to be in the right region code. Wink

The model? Well, it will not be cheap but just preorder direct from the many shops in Japan that specialize in this sort of thing. HLJ has carried other items in this product line. Also try AmiAmi Shop, CD Japan, and Hobby Search. All deal in US dollars and handle orders from the US very easily.

An item like this will likely get picked up by one of the North American merchandise importers and eventually end up in the US anime stores, but note that it is already pricey before the importers start marking it up. Importers also add months to the delivery date. IMO, there is no point in waiting extra to pay more -but note that this item will NOT be inexpensive no matter where you find it.

The DVD should be easier to obtain but probably not inexpensive either.

I am most definitely going to buy this when I'm in Tokyo in March.

Nausicaa is one of my favorite manga and anime.

Nausicaa is one of my favorite manga and anime.

It's one of mine too, and I've always liked the fighter, as well as Nausicaa's flyer.

I don't have many toys yet, but I've gotten the impression that some of them have a hard time making it to the west. It seems that availability can sometimes be a function of Japanese demand vs. numbers manufactured, with the market in Japan getting first dibs.
