Poor thing. I know she took three years off before and had to have a hysterectomy. I hope she will get well soon.

On a selfish note, I am bummed that Saiyuki looks like it won't end anytime soon. At least she finished Gaiden.

Its been so long since any of her work has been released, I forgot she was still writing. Must be hard working on so many things at once. Between the 2 Saiyuki's, and Wild Adapter, and whatever else she has going on, it does not surprise me she has health issues. I hope she recovers quickly and is able to continue Saiyuki. It would be a sad day if she never gets to finish it.

I hope all goes well for her. I love her work so very much & collect all the artbooks I can find of them, but health is pretty important in this life. Not having good health makes everything else pretty difficult, plus the whole stress of testing & waiting for results is horrid.

Thoughts and prayers for Minekura-sensei... I'm a huge Saiyuki fan and hope she regains her health soon.

Just stumbled across a summary of the information in Minekura's blog entry. Apparently she has a tumor in her jawbone. Further details available in the original post by athena8, over at LiveJournal.

Saiyuki was the title that got me importing books directly from Japan, way back when. I hope to continue buying Minekura's manga and artbooks for many years to come, but as long as she gets through the surgery OK, that'd do too.
