You have never heard of Naruto?
I was kind of hoping that Shueisha would go back to their old mangakas but Akira Toriyama is the only one who's not writing for Shueisha currently.

I'm very interested in seeing Kishimoto's short. I wanna see him do something that's not Naruto.

Well, Akimoto is the creator of Kochikame, which has been running in Jump since 1976, so he's a legend along with Toriyama, but the others are more recent popular mangakas. If it truly was the "Top of the Super Legend", the other four should be people like Masami Kurumada (Saint Seiya), Hirohiko Araki (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) and either Youichi Takahashi (Captain Tsubasa), Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk), Yoshihiro Togashi (Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter) or Izumi Matsumoto (Kimagure Orange Road). And let's not forget Go Nagai, whose series Harenchi Gakuen and the legendary Mazinger Z ran in Jump, too.

These should be interesting, but I'd really prefer more Bakuman one-shots. I want to read a full chapter of +Natural or Crow!

Can't wait for Toriyama's one shot. Interested in the other one shots too.

Hideaki Sorachi, sweet, he'll probably have something solid. Hopefully Toriyama and Kishimoto have something good in the works too.

They should have waited until Eiichiro Oda comes back.

No Obata Takeshi? =__= (paired with Hotta Yumi of "Hikaru no Go" fame, preferably. Ahh, how I miss that dream team!)

Definitely looking forward to Toriyama's, but will he be drawing it himself or having Katsura illustrating it with him doing the story? Either way, I'm in.
Also interested in Kishimoto's, since I think a baseball story is what he toyed with before Naruto, right?

Ditto. His art style is something I've really come to love, even if I can't consistently say the same for his storytelling abilities.
I'm at least aware of almost all of these folks, but sadly haven't made the time to check out all of their works, so I'm looking forward to hearing about these shorts.

These are the one shots that dictate whats coming in the future. There is always a chance that they can bomb though. I love when they do this.
