Glad to see Bleach is coming back on Adult Swim, I've been waiting for this show to come back with new episodes.

It's going to be tough getting used to only one new episode per week. Still...
Hooray for new episodes!

As if we need anymore Bleach.
Just tell me this -- Are we past the filler yet?

Nope. The whole season will be filler. Enjoy. Meanwhile, I'll watch the non-filler episodes on Crunchyroll...

According to the episode listing in the Encyclopedia entry for the series, we've got a 21-episode filler arc before returning to canon material with episode 189. Sigh.
Based on its description, though, I will be curious to see how this arc gets fit in; when we last left the heroes, they were still in the depths of Hueco Mundo's fortress (and some of them were on the verge of death). (No, I haven't seen the series beyond the AS broadcasts.)

This is why I read manga when it comes to Shonen Jump. Cut the filler, get straight to the action.

It doesn't fit into the main storyline at all. The whole arc is like watching a lengthy movie adaptation of a long-running shonen series: it features the main heroes and supporting cast in a one-shot story that wraps up and has no effect on canon material (unlike the Bount arc, which they did fit into the anime's main timeline).

About time! What took so long?
How the hell long does it take to dub all those Bleach episodes?

I can only speak for myself, but I personally have liked most the Bleach filler episodes. At least the filler episodes give certain characters spotlight that may have not been shown in months-years.
But that is just me and if you don't like filler episodes, that is your choice.
Weiss_Yohji: Given the fact that AS doesn't have much anime anymore, much less anime that has yet to be finished in either Japan or US, waiting several months isn't that bad.
Could be much worse and AS could remove all the anime and we'd be left with nothing.
