Yeah, that's pretty accurate.

Nina's frustrated face is fabulously hilarious.

Any guess how much money was spent? If that ever happened to a friend of mine I would reply with, "Holy jumpin' f@*$in' Jesus." Then give them a stupid slap.

Fortunately, I've been lucky with the blind boxes. I got the specific ones I wanted without having to try to many times, and I haven't repeated (which is the worst option). The only bad one I've ever ended up with was a completely clear variant, which makes it hard to discern any features.

Let's see...those blind boxes usually run $5-$8. I'm counting about 44/45 individual figures...so I'd say somewhere between about $225 and $360.
Just a wild semi-educated guess.

She did give the man two bills. So unless she has a good supply of $2 bills, she's either paying $2 each or more than $5...

I'm someone who doesn't care what I get in a blind box... I'm really happy when I get one of the figures I want. The only time I was unhappy with a figure was when I got a Yuki figure from Haruhi... it's not the character, it's just that the figure itself... it's her in her Fortune Teller outfit... and if I knock into the bookshelf she falls apart, and it takes a while to put back to together! Last time I did jam the head on good... so hopefully it won't happen again...

I've been there. I get the characters I want the least (Hisagi and Izuru from Bleach) and then I don't wanna spend more money and risk getting a repeat. But one time at a con there was a nice lady who let me look in the boxes and pick. It was super nice, and I was able to get Luffy and Sanji (but I would've been happy with any Strawhat).

I go the lazy route with blind boxes and try to get the full set on Y!J. Poor Nina, Y!J is your friend

This happened to me once... fortunately after the 4th time I got the same damn figure out of a $12 blind box, the guy at the convention booth pitied me enough to let me exchange one for a box he'd peeked into.

I think I'd have prefer'd a last panel showing Nina's furrowed sweaty brow bent over the last Binki figure, it's head bashed in with a bowling ball and Nina saying "I'm finished!"

I know how this is. This is why I set some rules with myself for blind box figures only on. I won't do it if there's a character I HATE in the set, and I will only give myself two tries at any one set, at least at any one time.

So $6 is the best guess estimate.
$264 is quite overly OCD Nina.

Gotta learn to shake and feel the weight of those boxes. Helped me get what I want many-a-time. Sometimes my friends and I just might buy an entire box and then share the contents. There's also a guy who opens the boxes and marks which one it is with a sticker. Takes out the "mystery", but the mystery isn't really an important issue.
