Although Balsa doesn't smile much, she is very happy at this development. I am too for that matter. Bring on the new episodes!

Great news, but we've still gotta wait yet another two months for new episodes. At least that date will be here before we know it.

That's awesome; at least now I don't have to keep constantly looking at my DVR box and deleting the episodes that are the repeats. Anime hyper Although hopefully, anyone purchasing the DVDs will be able to watch the first three of the new episodes starting on July 7th.

Unless Media Blasters pushes back the date again, which will really tick me off. -_-

Sigh, I wish MB would hurry up and just release a boxset; I want to own this anime so much, but I don't want to buy 8 singles (what were they thinking...).

Media Blasters isn't the problem with the Adult Swim airings. The TV rights to this show are being handled by someone else with Media Blasters being the DVD release company only. That said, from what I've gathered both MB and Adult Swim have been held up by the Japanese owners on this one and it isn't either groups fault that the show has been delayed (it sounded to me like the license for this show was a convoluted mess and getting things straightened out has been part of what's been holding things up Sad ).

I just hope the reason Bleach is getting cut back to one episode a week is because they're putting a new anime on. Please let it be Monster...

I am willing to bet it is because they gotta wait for the dub to catch up a bit again.

Like the couple of times Code Geass restarted. That wasn't cause AS is out to get us animoo fans (I can't blame them if they are, I personally greatly enjoy messing with people who get all 'stick-up-the-bum' as easily as Anime fans seem to...), it's likely just cause they caught up to where the dub was at the moment and had to wait.

It aint easy dubbing even 1 episode a week, so they must have been ahead on Bleach before this 2-episode thing even started.

Why do we have to wait till August? I am glad AS has gotten the brains to finish running the seris but do it now. Do they think screwing with us for months (I think it was low ratings that isn't been on for months. However, they could try a wonderful little thing called AdultSwim.com to put it on.) isn't enough to keep us impatient?

They're doing a complete run-through of the series from start to finish. You have to wait until August because that's how long it takes to get to episode 11 when you air on a weekly basis.

The show returned to the air this past Saturday with episode 1.

And it's not about AS having "brains" or not. The show was in a license hell and, according to Media Blasters, when they tried to air it on Adult Swim previously they had still yet to receive the episode masters for 11+ from Geneon in the first place, so they didn't even have the episodes available to give to AS for them to air.

I suggest reading a bit more carefully. It says the new schedule has 2 new episodes of Bleach instead of 1 as it had stated previously. So we're getting more, not less Bleach.

Wait, what? Adult Swim is still on?

It's been so long since they had anything good on I just kind of assumed it went away.

As MetatronM said lower down in the topic, it's because they're running the show again from episode 1 as of last Sat. They start from episode 1 for consistency and for new starters to the run.

You gotta give AS credit for not giving up on Moribito. They've reran it 3 times now, in the hope of getting new episodes, which they're finally getting. It seems like a show AS would never have acquired, but here they are airing it as much as they can, presumably in the hopes of finishing it(AS always finishes shows, with minor exceptions a few years back).

Maybe it was AS' plan all along, but I would guess that the recent high points of Bleach in the AS Sat Ratings could've helped get AS to request more of the 2 episodes a week thing, since it's worked so well for them. AS even aired a bump this week noting the 3-week streak Bleach has had as the top of Saturday Ratings, and stated that they were serious about their kudos to Bleach. Bleach may not be the best or brightest anime out there, but it gets people watching anime on tv, which makes it awesome in my book.

As much as I like Moribito, they should just give it up and run FMAB already. Certain anime work and a lot don't because they need the casual fans to get the ratings which is very sad.

ditto, it's nice to see that morbito is finally getting new episodes but even that isn't going to pull me back to AS willingly, unless they sacked whoever it was who thought up those god awful shows that they make themselves
