While i agree that it is lower quality, i have a copy of last year's My Santa, unopened that i just plan on keeping around for the fun of it.

The problem with Guyver TV is it's an emo-fied version of the manga and OVAs. The good b-movie stuff is in the previous material, not this version.

Bamboo wasn't the only one at ANN who panned My Santa last year; I did, too, and a year's time hasn't changed my agreement with Bamboo that it once again belongs in the Perishables.

I'm so glad they've started releasing these boxsets of Case Closed. I wanted to start collecting the series when I first started watching it, but there were so many volumes! Thanks, funi, for making it so easy!

I liked "Itsudatte My Santa," but the dub really was horrible. And they could've added more depth to it. I just think Aya Hirano played Santa pretty well.

LMAO I almost want to buy it just for that scene. But no... in fact I decided to not buy the Negima anime because of my Love Hina experience. I bought Love Hine early in my anime obsession, and I used to like it a lot. Then my son loaned me the manga a year or so later. I read it, then tried watching the anime again, and could not get through 2 episodes, it was so bad in comparison (partly the art). All I hear of Negima the anime is that it is a far worse adaptation, Love Hina being considered a fairly good one. That may be a bit exaggerated, but my experience with Love Hina certainly agrees with Bamboo's assessment on adaptations of his work. Very much looking forward to Tweeny Witches though, for the quality of animation and a unique story. Reminds me of Yume Tsukai for some reason, though I know the story is different. |

More importantly, though, did you see Twilight, Bamboo? And if so, would you care to comment?

I had been on the fence about Tweeny Witches for a while now. One, the name raises an eyebrow and makes me feel like a pedo, and two, the volume reviews outside of Shelf Life didn't allow me to make any definitive decision (nothing against the review itself). Now, I think after I finish Death Note I'll check it out.

If you live in NYC it is too much to ask.
I want those Haruhi figures, but i am afraid that my family would disown me. Sweet collection. Damm, I just priced them and it comes out to more then 700 dollars for the set. Props on the commitment. |

I have not seen Twilight, nor have I read the books. However, my friends have convinced me to go this week, so I can surround myself with all the gaggling vampire fangirls. Did you love it, Gatsu? I bet you were the first in line. ; ) |

Ouchies That happened to me once when I was at my aunt's apartment in Ireland. Though it was my fault, the child locks or whatever on the water had it set to the freaking best temperature, I didn't want to turn the water off...so instead, the water ran out Anyway.... I never really understood Case Closed, is it any good? I would think so, since how many movies/episodes do they have? (Though a bountiful amount of episodes doesn't exactly equal quality) |

Yea,I've been a pretty big fan of Detective Conan since it aired on CN,but,I knew about it for a couple years before that. I really want to see the rest. I might as well just start buying the blasted DVD's.
Now,as far as the shelf obsessed... I really have to say it's the best one I've seen so far(this account was made this year, but,I've been apart of the ANN community for a couple of years). Wow,Sammy. Dude, you have so many series I wanna see/finish. Let's be best friends! Last edited by 504NOSON2 on Mon Nov 24, 2008 5:46 am; edited 1 time in total |

Sakechan: I'd only go if I had a date. The only thing worse than a chick flick is a pre-pubescent chick fick.

Nice to see Tweeny Witches as shelf worthy. This series is one of a kind and unfortunately quite unknown v.v
I wonder what happened to the announced sequel? oO PS: I agree that Santa was bad >< |
