I find it kind of weird that Hokutomaru has grown up, but Hotaru and Marky still look the same, although I can believe that he had a growth spurt and at least it justifies his voice change, though it'd been cool to hear Junko Takeuchi voicing another ninja, and we have to remember that she voiced Hokutomaru in Mark of the Wolves a couple of years before she voiced Naruto. Nonetheless, I'm quite satisfied with City of the Wolves base roster, although, to be honest, I would have traded Ronaldo and Salvatore's inclusion for the return of Kim Jae Hoon and Freeman, so then we would have the complete Mark of the Wolves cast back in this sequel, and we already know they won't be included in the first DLC character pass, so we'll have to see if they will arrive next year, which is possible since one of SNK's developers mentioned they want to include all of Fatal Fury's characters in City of the Wolves, though I don't know if that would be possible, unless they intend to support the game for many, many years.
They also confirmed that fights can now be fought using the original Fatal Fury two-lane system, but it seems to be optional. That is going to make fights very interesting, especially at tournament-level.
