Assuming the anime will indeed skip Vol. 1, then these new characters pretty much confirm that the anime will adapt Volumes 2, 3 & 4.
Also, apart from Raissa (well, Liza in Yen Press's translation) and Sozon, the other 2 were not illustrated in the LN so this is my first time seeing their character designs. |

I still can't wrap my head around that decision. How can they skip the beginning of the story which sets the foundations for eveything else? Now that it's clear they're adapting 3 volumes, they definitely won't even be able to add flashbacks about it. And it's not like volume 1 is weak, it's honestly still one of my favourites in the series. I really don't get it. On a different note, do we know where it'll be simulcast? |
