If it does happen, it'll probably be once the series is finally wrapping up so Omega Force can go all out with it. They've done a pretty admirable job keep 4 relevant for this long already.

With Pirate Warriors 4 getting a next-gen upgrade and new DLC characters, it's hard to tell whether or not this game, especially with other One Piece video games, will have an English dub voiceover option anytime soon. It's impressive that the English dub has come a long way since Funimation (now Crunchyroll) acquired the rights to the One Piece franchise back in 2007. They started dubbing the Sky Island saga to continue where the 4Kids dub/version left off, then the One Piece Unlimited Adventure game (which was the only One Piece video game to contain an English dub from the Funimation cast), the 8th film (except for the 15-minute prologue which was first released nearly 4 years later), the East Blue & Alabasta sagas, and then the rest. However, the majority of One Piece video games, the first 7 TV specials, the first 7 films including the 9th & 11th installments, the OVAs/featurettes, etc. still haven't received an English dub to this day. While the dub is still catching up (currently on episode 1108) with the original Japanese version/sub (episodes 1109-1122 including One Piece Fan Letter), even as the anime is on hiatus, there is a slight chance for the anime to have a SimulDub release when it continues in April. But we'll never know when dubbed leftovers (video games, TV specials, films, OVAs/featurettes, etc.) will see the light of day until then. Only time will tell.

I've wanted to play Vivi ever since the first Pirate Warriors. I really hope she wins and people will not just vote for more cool looking swordfighters

One Piece Grand Battle and Pirate's Carnival were also dubbed with the 4Kids cast and the original Wii release of Unlimited World was the only game to feature the Funimation cast.
I'm not sure why so many anime games have gone away from being dubbed. The Fairy Tail games didn't receive a dub, prior to the release of Gundam Breaker 4 the Gundam games hadn't received an English dub in a while, the Spy X Family game wasn't dubbed, I'm sure I could go on.
I'm guessing the lack of English dubs is a cost cutting measure, but I agree that I wish it was there for the fans. Also, I wish Crunchy would go back and dub the movies and OVAs they skipped, but at this point I don't see that happening.

As an european, I don't know how much of an audience there is for english dubs for these kind of games. As a kid/teen I always disliked being forced to have the english dub in a lot of games, when it's not my first language and I'm way more familiar with the japanese dub. I feel like the only people that really want those are americans

I was hoping the article would list the survey options. I don't have a Bandai Namco account, so I'm unable to view the poll myself.
I haven't played a One Piece game in years (not since Unlimited Adventure for Wii in 2008), but I've been feeling tempted to play one again. I usually stick to RPGs, so I was thinking I'd try Odyssey, but Pirate Warriors 4 looks interesting, too. Until recently, I'd never played a Dynasty Warriors style game, but Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes opened my eyes to the genre.

Nice that there's a free upgrade for PS4 owners.
