All this does is simply take shows away from Toonami.

I’m never even heard of this channel, but I guess more anime on TV is never a bad thing.

I haven’t thought about AXS since they mostly switched to music. I remember them and their predecessor HDNet being a grab bag of stuff that included a surprising amount of regional and foreign MMA. Come to think of it, I think AXS is where TNA ended up.

Not just that, but the 13th is a Thursday, so TNA Impact will literally be the lead-in for this anime block.

PROS: Finally, another place to watch anime besides [as], especially after the last schedule update.
CONS: I have a feeling this is gonna end up like SyFy and Chiller's anime blocks: content cuts for time in exchange for the full OP, mind-numbingly long commercial breaks that make the show mind-numbing by extension, uninteresting content ratings (this one's more on AXS S&P than anything else), and probably gonna disappear altogether after a single sharp decline in ratings the second week.

"A new cable network anime block called Anime.com" sounds like news out of 2003.

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I was just finished reading the article.

They're replacing New Japan with Japanese cartoons.

I still miss early AXS TV when they would show pretty much all the regional MMA that's now stuck behind UFC Fight Pass, as well as all the Japanese organizations that existed back then. They couldn't even get a deal for RIZIN, which airs on YouTube.
In an era where streaming has easily become the preferred delivery method for anime, coupled with the fact that AXS doesn't have the biggest reach these days, I don't know how well this will do.

So does this mean no more MHA on Toonami?
