Damn, First Xebec (for the most part) & now MD. May as well merge IG & Wit considering George Wada currently heads both studios Rolling Eyes

Thanks for reminding me about XEBEC (I credit that studio for getting me that deep into the anime rabbit hole back in 2006 thanks to Love Hina and Negima! hence how I became a new fan and the wider anime/manga fandom).

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Wit Studio would be the next studio to get absorb or dissolve in that same manner.

The only reason why I'd doubt any merger between them is happening anytime soon is because, last I checked, Wit isn't wholly owned by IG Port. Wada still owned like 34% of the company to IG's 66%. That may have changed over the past few years, but yea...

Up until recently Xebec still lived on in Sunrise Beyond (BNFW absorbed them into Sunrise, so they're dead), Signal.MD (which we're currently discussing, their current CEO Takatoshi Chino migrated from Xebec as well as a lot of their staff), IG Zwei (which essentially only exists for Fafner) & studio Mother (RIP to Yukinao Shimoji, Xebec co-founder)

Well Chiyosuke, we did came almost 11 years since Signal.MD was first formed back in 2014. I can't speculate that if Wit Studio could be next, but I'm just speculating and we will have to wait and see if what I said will become true or not.

A lot of the staff left at Sunrise Beyond right before they closed jumped ship to OLM, so whatever remnants of Xebec left that didn't go to Studio Mother are still hanging around there.
