translating pages, multi device sync.....does Google actually think this is unique stuff that other browsers don't do????

I left Netscape Navigator recently to use Chrome.

I didn't even know and even aware that Google Chrome has it's own Japanese mascot and it's own -chan culture, and now this is the first time I've heard of Chrome having it's own anime. I'm not sure what to make of this.

I suspect part of what they're doing is teaching current users that some of these capabilities exist, period.

Chromium is free open source code and used by many browsers. Devs can choose to not implement or remove any of the bad stuff from Chrome in their own version.

Not necessarily in this particular case. They can delay the use of Manifest V3 (I know Brave and Vivaldi have said they would delay as long as they can) for a bit but if they want it to work in the future no....

Uh sort of if you knew that Mozilla Firefox is the successor to Netscape Navigator. Seriously, I thought this was common knowledge amongst web nerd and history nerds.
