20 years? That's a bit longer than I'd've expected. Sounds like a great premise for more diverse Fumoffu-style hijinks, without needing to adhere to the romcom format as much.
Fingers crossed JNC eventually gets around to licensing the FMP spin-offs. Surely they'll finish scraping the bottom of the Isekai barrel at some point, right?

20 years ago there were like three mangas though. One of them completely adapted the light novel's ending. How come no studio wants it?

Now if we could just complete the main story in anime form...

Kind of a spoiler for the original series, but I figured it was a foregone conclusion by now.

Wow, I had no idea there was a continuation of Full Metal Panic, and in this particular direction. I'm definitely curious to see this one in the (hopefully) near future.

Is there any chance the hardcover omnibus of the first three FMP novels will be reprinted?

Some, maybe? If they were popular enough to warrant the omnibus release, they're probably popular enough to reprint. Some people have already expressed interest in reprints in the JNC forum, though to my knowledge they've not commented on it yet. I'd suggest doing the same, or emailing them directly.
If JNC can be convinced there's an audience for a reprint, they'll do a reprint.
