Mark of Erdrick's an interesting choice. A 30 year-old game tie-in isn't something you see picked up for North America often. I know this manga is linked to DQ3, which is getting its HD re-release, but still. Dai was a flop for Viz and that was given a full multi-media push (though, their release of the manga predated some of that). Makes me wonder if that might be in-store for this series, too.

Every time there's a batch of license announcements from Square Enix, I immediately ctrl+F "Talentless Nana" in hopes of a physical manga volumes release. I wonder if there's any hope at all for it.

I was at the reveal event for this at NY Comic Con and they did exactly that. Opened up with a trailer to the game, and went straight into announcing this manga after that. Then mentioning how it's a sequel to DQ3. They also announced DQ1 and 2 HD remakes for 2025 and how it all ties in together, so I think that's how they're going to push it

There's been some speculation that either they're going to take some stuff from the manga and make it canon in the upcoming Erdrick trilogy remakes or that Emblem could be getting an anime adaptation and could be a new multimedia push like Dai was.
But anyway, really glad to see this in English finally. It's been available in Europe in other languages for a while and I'm assuming if SE is doing it themselves maybe it'll have a localization closer to the games with a bit of that Shakespearean flavor with its dialog.

so ig the long awaited dai sequel is never gonna happen all because the remake underperformed? damn, all we got is a crappy prequel (ok not crappy, but am still salty) that no one asked for....
