Normally cancellations are pretty straightforward.

We reached out to J-Novel Club. I updated the article with this as well, but J-Novel stated its license for the manga extended through volume 6. The company added that while it does not comment on ongoing licensing negotiations, "the situation with the original Japanese manga adaptation rights will likely impact any future licensing."
