This collection is pretty much a giant NAOMI/Dreamcast arcade collection (plus the Namco System 246 for CFE, which was essentially a PS2, & the ZN-2 for Plasma Sword), so it's likely that a third collection will come later down the line that includes Capcom's remaining ZN-1 & ZN-2 fighters, which would include Star Gladiator, Rival Schools, Strider 2, Tech Romancer, & even Street Fighter EX 1 & 2 (as well as the "Plus" variants for both). Maybe they can even toss in Battle Arena Toshinden 2, which Capcom handled the distribution for the original arcade version. Also, at this point, the literal only Vs. Series game left for Capcom to re-release (outside of vanilla CvS1) is Tatsunoko vs. Capcom... and after everything that's happened this now feels entirely plausible! |

I've heard that Rival Schools have some rights issues in regards to some music tracks and also some rights in reagrds to the characters' voices |

Heh, what a coincidence. Yesterday, I was just wondering if they'd put out a collection for Capcom vs. SNK, and here it is. Okay, let's try another: I wonder if Capcom will do remakes of the Onimusha trilogy!

Yeah, this was known going back to when it got a PSN port on the PS3 in Japan but didn't in North America.....meanwhile the opposite happened with Mega Man Legends years later which had similar issues. Basically because Sony has a no changes rule to "Classic" PSN ports, Capcom paid a lot to get those games released. |

Great news! Maybe Capcom can finally get the license back for the Two D&D side scrollers, Alien vs Predator and Tech Romancer! I’d buy each of these games! What a year, The Punisher, All 3 SNK vs Capcom Games, the first 2 Marvel vs Capcom Slugfests along with earlier X-Men vs Street Fighter etc Marvelous! What a CAPCOMpony of Fighting Game Excellence!

Seeing all the changes and censors made in this release is a bummer. Especially all of Demitri's Midnight Bliss being changed. I'll probably just stick to the original. It's nice they put all the changes on the website though so people are aware of the changes.

To be fair the game was never released outside of Japan so if they “could” do a collection that features that & SFxT it would have to go through the same rights negotiations it went through to get greenlit.
Guess I’m not the only one that thought Dawn Of Dreams wasn’t too hot |

Man, that timing GuileWinQuote had with his Plasma Sword video is insane.
Ye shalt soon know the Power Stone World, and the Power Stone shalt make you free. To have online play for one of the most amazing multiplayer games ever made after all this time waiting.... I never thought I would see this day come. I pray that Power Stone 2 dominates FGC streaming in 2025. |

Not all, some. Namely the the use of Enyaba's sprite from "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future" as a secret bonus transformation when using the move on Rose. This is a "no longer has the rights to use that imagery" issue, not a censorship issue. |

More a copyright thing than a censoring thing is how it's looking, but there's a good chance that the illiterate masses aren't gonna care. Not that I'm going to miss their presence in the community anyways. It's only Fighting Evolution so far that has that sort of change listed. Doesn't Midnight Bliss sometimes pick from one of two sprites? Obviously Fighting Evolution has a really bad reputation & no one in their right mind will be playing it seriously anyways, but does Rose happen to have an alternate sprite to fallback to if that one particular one gets removed? |
