I'm confused about his position being eliminated. Was it redundant? Was it folded into another position? Does Viz feel like they don't need someone to track and communicate sales anymore? Are Viz executives so busy doing Scrooge McDuck-like swan dives into huge piles of money that they don't care anymore?

They're just downsizing so the work would be handed to someone else.
