It is interesting that Uta is given a chapter since she’s only appeared in one non-cannon movie.

Hopefully Viz picks these up, they licensed the Ace novels, so it’s not out of the question.

According to this Wiki article, it's because the cover used in this article is for Volume One of Heroines, which contains stories for Vivi and Perona, along with Nami and Robin.

The article is actually about Volume Two, which includes the characters listed (and will presumably have them on the cover.)

I guess it goes to show how huge that movie turned out to be. Uta may not be canon but she's become a highly recognizable part of the franchise. We'll probably see her in more spin-off media from now on.

Looking it up a bit more, it appears that the image is from the previously released Heroines novel, which did have stories around Perona and Vivi. I'm guessing that a cover for the new stories mentioned here hasn't been released yet, so this is the visual the writer went for to best match the article. Which, fair.

Back in Wano where she belongs. Razz

The real question is where is Carrot. Maybe next volume.

When taking about One piece during the Marinford war and how it will eventually turn the world upside down, Whitebeard said there will be someone who will carry ace's will and their flame will never be extinguished. How can people talk so little of Yamato when she is such a significant character in the story. Rolling Eyes

She is basically ace's will. It shows how much the community just doesn't understand the nuances to oda's story. Also wano is never over, it will be tied deeply into the story

I wonder if the Uta story takes place before or after the movie considering it's ending.

Thanks for the cover clarification, I was curious about that myself.

Hope to see this brought over some day Smile

Yamato isn't a heroine, so he wouldn't be in this.

For the record, Uta is a canonical character. Oda drew her silhouette in chapter 1055 of the manga spoiler[among characters that Shanks was thinking about.] Whether he intends for some version of the film to be canon is unclear, but at the very least we know that she exists in the main canon.

Viz really needs to bring all the light novels over to America.

By the way, Uta IS a canon character that's makes a cameo in the manga. It's just the events of her movies that's non canon.

She is not "Oden". The raid is over. Let the guy rest in peace.

Yamato repeatedly identifies as male, uses self-referential pronouns that are most commonly (though granted, from what I understand, not exclusively) used by males, and chose to bathe with the male Straw Hats at the end of the arc. Oh, and even that paragon of terrible fathers Kaido refers to him as "my son," as do the rest of the Beasts Pirates. I'm not sure how much more clearly Oda can spell it out for you.

Yes but in the Vivre cards with OFFICIAL information on characters, Oda stated that Yamato is female, while in the same batch of cards, confirmed that Okiku had the soul of female. So there is a clear difference with those characters and their official titles, regardless of what the characters themselves think.
